About I took this shot earlier last week in a local shopping mall. It was a very entertaining experience :-) I was fairly "hidden" and out of sight but as soon as people saw the tripod and camera, they looked everywhere but ahead of them :-) I found the escalator moved too slow and only had success with people walking down the moving escalator. This particular young man was quite obliging - he walked down the escalator for me three times, and was so excited to be part of my experience :-)

Message to Neil D : "See, I am not too shy!" :-)))

Nice image Linn it fits the Project brief well.IMO the light streak on top of his head is a distraction and could easily have been removed.Still a nice image.

Bravo to you girl for your moxie. Excellent blurry capture. You get that sense of hurry that we see everywhere today.

Linn,

I'm hoping you can return a favour. I've tried uploading a picture several times and I keep getting an error message. I've tried filing a bug report in the 'suggestions' thread and I get another error message! So I'm stuck! I can't upload and can't even report that I can't upload!! So I was wondering if you could copy and paste the following message into the suggestions thread with an explanatory note saying why you're posting it instead of me? With me? Great! Here;s the message?

"Dear Altaf,

I've just tried to upload my third picture within a 24 hour period and I keep getting the message: "Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /usr/home/www/usefilm/data/lib/uploadtest.lib.php on line 458"

I've tried shutting down and reconnecting. I've tried clearing my browser's history list and cache. And I've even tried deleting all my Usefilm cookies and logging on again. Nothing works! I'm still getting the same message.

Can you help please?

Many thanks,

Chris Spracklen "

Ta very much,

Chris

Hi Linn, you see i told you so! ;-) Your idea turned out well. I wouldn't have the nerve to do this. I think it is unusual that you chose to do this vertically. I would have thought you would get more movement in this if the direction of movement was at 90? to the camera plane! But it makes it interesting :) I especially like his pom-pom from the light. Nice work and a big congrats fro getting out there and doing soemthing that many people wouldn't do. Pushing the limits... that is what it's all about.
Regards Neil

It's fun to see peoples reactions isn't it. It looks like he has an antenna coming from his head like he was wired for sound. Don.

Jim, it is just tooooo funny! :-) The first time I experienced this was when I photographed the "African Sun" flower exhibition. I had the whole thing to myself! People would wait forever while I was lining up a shot, SO polite and SO patient! I think maybe they thought I was from some publication? :-) And at the shopping mall, they probably thought I was photographing the architecture. Oh well - as I said, it was fun experiences and something I never thought I would do. Robert (hubby) told me that he would NEVER do it.
