Hi Hugo, thanks a lot for your extensive comments. To this photo I can say ,that it was quite good(with an old minolta dynax)and no noise in the sky. After scanning,I had all these noise,or grain,or whatever, and when I sharpened it,it got always worse...Thanks Ozjan,i have now a better quality,as I`m not good in PS.Better no scans from old pictures. For me,I go with the coloured version, because I like this "hot"atmosphere ,and the BW increases this lonely mood. But I`m very glad,to have both versions.
Regards,Ursula

A Tad smaller, unfortunately, but nice to see the change in atmosphere. Whereas the colour version gives the feel of the scorching hot desert, this one creates a more desolated feeling. The quality of this shot shows that it has been worked on extensively. Interesting work, although not your own (thanks for showing). I should've chosen the other one for my extensive comment, but that's too late now. Anyways, its the message that counts. And that is the message of the effect one can reach with B&W. It places the attention to other aspects, and disguises the flaws a bit more. On the other hand, it's more dificult to make one stand out. This shot lends itself perfectly for making that comparison.

Cheers,

hugo

Oh no Ursula! It is your shot for sure. I just added a little softness to the sky and felt the picture in it prospective fits more in B&W but hay your skill and sense of capturing such an angle in such a dramatic seen is absolutely wonderful. Thanks a lot my dear friend. Cheers.

Wonderful!
I love the long shadow, which emphasizes the sense of loneliness somehow. Further more enhanced by the minimalistic background, the running towards... where?

Excellent work.

Lida
