About Minutemen from nearby towns were now responding to the messengers' warnings. The smoke from the burning supplies was also attracting local farmers and townspeople. A large force of patriots was now gathered in response to the British troops.
As the British soldiers headed back to Boston, they were attacked by the Minutemen. All along the route, Minutemen, local farmers and townspeople continued the attack against the British. By the time the soldiers reached Boston, 73 British solders were dead and 174 more were wounded.

In the days fighting, 49 patriots were killed, and 39 more were wounded.

thank you for your opinion. I liked your cropping better, however I am trying to use the camera frame as much as possible (sometimes it doesn't work). About the colors. well, original colors are pretty "juicy", I was trying to revreate the feeling of old painting + gobeline.
About the bag.. After I came home with this shot and start working on that I did not like it at all. Thank you for your time. Cheers

Hmmmm. I needed to think about this one a bit. I do feel a bit ambiguous about this one.

The first things I noticed were the effect of the wide angle (a slight but minor distortion), the, in my eyes, redundant empty space on the left, and the cut off duffel bag on the lower middle of the shot. Also, I think a wee bit more saturation and contrast could remove the faint film that seems to be over the entire photo.

I do like the relaxing atmosphere in this shot, resting after a long day of enacting an important bit of history. (Very interesting to read the story behind this, too, glad you took the time!) The (this time) unposed group gives the shot a much stronger reportive quality. I like the wide DOF and excellent sharpness, something I am trying to work with more often (I tend to use a very wide aperture most of the time) It works very well with this scene.

It looks like you took this shot at eye level, wereas I think a lower camera position would've not only enabled you to include the bag entirely in the composition, but also keep the camera perfectly level which would've reduced the wide angle distortion. The perspective might also work in favour of the perspective, but I'm not quite sure if that's needed here.

Cheers,

Hugo
