yes, i enjoyed the tourism in Egypt and since i was little i always dreamed and drew pyramids amongst my children papers. i enjoy ancient Cultures and monuments as well...

Its a fantastic place to visit and stand by.but for me since i live in egypt so i dont feel it with the same passion as you do :) i go there every now and then :)) so i will talk about this photo as photogrpahy.. its really very nice shot, i find the texture and your angel are so impressive but i also wish to see the peak of the peramid included in your photo (just a personal feeling).. but i still like it very much and thank you for adding this photo. i feel shame that i dont have a similer shot in my portfolio.. keep up the good work. thanks

yes, the pyramids were built in some sort of rolling this great big stones on top of wood logs up, up and upper -- like when You peel off an orange, cutting the peel with a knife...
it comes off as a serpent, doesn't it?!?
So this was taught to me by my Interpreter who happened to be Master in Ancient History.
As Chris Spracklen and Opal MoreLand previously said, too bad many people lost their lives during the construction of those magnificent Monuments, my Dearest Friend Teunis.

yes, Chris... it's a pity, but i did not had an grand-angular on me... and my point was showing the desert sand, turn into stone, turn into Lion Head and then... - Voila': one pyramid! lol
sorry i had no intention to chop off the last scale... i was overwhelmed by the huge statue and the huuuuuge crowds of other tourists were about to fill the place up in a sec!
BEHIND what You see in this picture it's a great deal of souvenir shops, Pizza Hut and all sort of thingies! No desert at all!!!
