Well You Know, Baki!...Nice Composition!...a Little too Contrasty, But This is Just a Slight Technicality That Can Be Adjusted....Baki!!!

Well done! I know how very difficult it is to capture this kind of image so as to retain the sparkle on the wavelets. The people standing on deck at prow and stern give just the right sense of scale.

A lovely scene you captured here, Baki - I have always loved the silvery glint of a low sun over water! I'm not sure I understand whether Hugo is suggesting that you overexpose a bit to see detail in the boat, or to bring it down to reduce the brightness of the reflections? My opinion is that I like the boat in complete silhouette so if anything underexpose a bit, but I quite like it as it is! Only the bright line cutting across the mountain is a bit distracting to me - maybe clone it out? Very nice work!

Hi Baki, the silver see has some nice highlights, but I find the contrast with the yacht a tad too large. It creates a slight overexposure. In general, water sport shots as well as snow scapes in bright sunlight, should be shot at a +1 to +1.5 settings, in order to retain the details and contrasts in the less reflecting parts.

Cheers,

Hugo
