This is really lovely. There's a great range of tones here, and the composition is terrific.
As for the moving, ghostly tourists, they add something special for me. Think of all the thousands who have visited this basilica over the years - I did, when I saw your photo. Well done!
Been there. Amazing place, even for non-belivers or catholics. I have some photos of this magnific basilic in my gallery, and one specific of that cross on the left of your image. Hope to have a chance to return there with more time and with better light...
