About "The Mountain is out" is a phrase used in Seattle to reflect whether you can see Mt. Rainier, more than 95 miles to the southeast. This was one of the few days when there were even clouds present, which I think really enhanced the view. The evening sun was getting low, and capping the 14,000-foot peak in bright light. It was a wonderful place to be at that moment.

Thanks Armando.
Yes, I took this with my 6490, and no I did not use the wide-angle adapter. My zoom was at 65mm for this shot.
The wide-angle lens works splendidly when you're in close and need to get a lot of detail, or in the case of my shot of the library, it's a HUGE 10-story building just across the street, and the lens let me capture the WHOLE building:

Excellent shot of the city with great DOF. I just find the tree at the bottom a little distracting but the do at a sence of distance. I would crop the right side to have the mountain on the border. Keep up the good work.

A very fortunate image. This makes it all worthwhile for an image like this. Great capture. Don.
