About A picture shot during a snow storm in front of my house. My FM10 was completely wet when I got home.

The colors are due to the different light temperatures of the street lightning. I've just changed the white balance to avoid the snow being orange.

Thanks for your future feedbacks.

Sébastien--

This is a fantastic image. I love the pools of light leading down the street and the spot of red in the stop sign. I haven't been in a snow storm for many years, but this brings back the memory of how the sounds are muted and everything is so silent. Wonderful--thanks.

Regards,
Anne

Yes, most people hestitate to expose their camera to water and freezing temperatures...

I trust my camera, cheap (150$) and almost totally plastic, but very resistant and performant. And the advantage is that there isn't any electronics in it, except the lightmeter...

Thanks for apreciating.

One of best snowy winter images I've seen. Usual to see snow on ground, but falling snow on your image is unique on photo.

i think it's awesome that you just went out and took the picture. you'v got a really good eye from what i can see of your other photos. most people would rather stay tucked into a warm bed in their house, but you chose a more intrepid path! this is a fantastic shot, especially with the way the light came out.

That's a grand scratchy effect with the falling snows. Welcome to usefilm.

A total ora didn't bring anything. I tried it but finally decided to keep the diagonal line in the snow to bring the eye from bottom to the blue light...

Thanks for your feedback.

(and thanks to the staff for the "BIP" mention...)

I like this, maybe sacrificing some foreground to get the nearest lamp's aura more fully into the frame would have been a worthwhile alternative, but it's a good image anyway.

Hi Sébastien, just caught this whilst reading through the "recent comments". Excellent photo and a good test for your FM10. Please don't get too discouraged that you have so few comments/views! There is a lot of luck involved and some very good photos can pass through unnoticed. UF is a high frequency site that means that your window of opportunity (depending on the time of day) is maybe 20 minutes before your photo no longer on the first page and many people only look at the first couple of pages! So if you are not known, and/or the thumbnail doesn't exactly jump off the page at you then no one sees it. Also the category is also important - there are some excellent photos in the lesser used categories. But anyway what i wanted to say was... Keep posting, make some critique yourself but more importantly have fun! You can also learn a lot from studying the work and critque of others. This is a good site Sébastien - hope you enjoy it. Greetings and best wishes from Switzerland - Neil

One million thanks to all of you for those so kind comments.

I'm just a bit disappointed to see so few people giving their feelings on my pictures. I would, nevertheless, need it to improve my work...

Excellent use of varying light tempatures to achieve different hues, the snow lines don't even look real, great job,

Chris
