About	The eggs are very well camouflaged. Look well and you'll find them. Siksak (Hoplopterus spinosus) lays their eggs on the ground. In that case at the egde of a parking lot. The Siksak attacks strangers - cats, crows or humans getting closed to the nest. In order to stay alive I took this one from the car... Hope to get more pictures after the hatching.

In central Australia I used to work in a National Park doing research into bird longevity and migration patterns. The area bordered the Great Australian Bight and along this coast line many plovers nested in the same way as your Siksak. We used to wait for the eggs to hatch before banding the chick, much to the chagrin of the parents :) I wish I had my photos today to illustrate my story.
