David, great critique, thanks, and from someone with your quality of portfolio, WOW! I'm still at the experimentation stage and I'm still trying to find my style with the new lease of life that is digital photography. I've tried more things in the past two months than I have in the preceeding 20 years. I don't have a softbox (yet) but I want to try a similar shot with some diffused light from the torch - time to get the crepe paper out. ...

Wonderful idea! The hairs are a bit out of focus? Maybe flash is a good idea? Anyway - I really like your series!

I like this, Ian. I would try a bit of a softer light, maybe a small softbox and position it so that you get a bit more wrap-around on the front of her body so the transition from light to dark is longer and more gradual. Very nice.
