What everyone seem to miss is the 'two fellows' at the foreground. With out them this image would be nothing but a bland landscape.
These two tiny humans provide the dyanamism and achorage for the image. One appreciates how big this rocky projectile realy is.
I always belive that one should always include a refrence, like including a human or dog or anything when photographing a large mamoth structure like this one. Without refrence they can not be apprciated properly.
Well done.
regards, ken.

Amit, this is a very beautiful photo, what great rock formations, I love the composition, giving us a piece of the dune and shrub in the foreground gives it nice depth, and the mist or fog rolling in defenitely adds to the moody landscape. Alison

Beautiful composition; the centering of the rocks doesn't bother me at all. I think the diagonal of the dune on the left helps tremendously. The mist is fabulous - well done!

Permit me to differ from those who worry about the centred composition. I think it works well in establishing the dominance of this rock over everything before it. Adding to that effect is the salty sea mist that seemingly sepetrates the island from the earth - giving it a mystical and eerie quality to the photograph.

Ahh, the elusive Haystack Rock... if you live there, or have the chance to be there in the AM try getting down as the sun rises... Haystack is front lit at sunrise and it makes for a completely different look. Nice haze, but I have to agree that it's a bit too centered.

Good capture.I like the haze at the base of the mound.Probably would have benefited from increase of contrast.

Generally a nice shot and a great place to photograph. I would have shifted the main image to the left or right, probably the left rock on the left side of the view finder. Also, looks like you have some dust or something on your CCD - look about 1/3rd the way down on the right side of the main outcropping.
