About This species, commonly called "Poet's Narcissus", can be found cultivated throughout North Carolina and is rarely escaped. The plant is usually one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring and is native to Europe. Poet's Narcissus is closely related to Narcissus pseudo-narcissus L., commonly called the "Daffodil."
