Nice capture John.
This picture is teaching me something before I even go and take the shot.
I have been watching and waiting for this mother goose to get off her eggs so that there will be little ones.
What I have learned looking at your images is that my goose is on a plain hill, thus my background is going to be plain.
I will still try to get some shots but I think I will look for one surrounded by a better background.
John you don't happen to know who long it takes for the eggs to hatch?
Also John I read you forum post about which camera to buy.
I have a bud that might be getting the D70, I have the D100 and if he gets his and I get to play with it before you make your purchase I will defiantly give you my input.
Very Nice picture here.

7 for sure! the clarity/reflections/natural lighting/comp are all executed very well...you certainly have good timing, my friend!...there are soooooo many of these in WA state that they had to scoop them up and transport them elsewhere, but of course they fly back, so must have been some bureaucratic idea...LOL...regards,gayle
