A whole stretch of wall with beautiful sculpture. A beam of natural sunlight shinning through a small gap of walls, which give emphasis to the column of the sculptures. There isn't much sunlight & pretty dark inside this tunnel (i don't think I put on my sun glasses ;>), but the highlighted area gave me the central attraction and decide to take a shot. As usual, all comments are appreciated.
bobby, excellent photo! i agree with hugo 100%. he wrote almost to the word what i was going to say. only thing i can add is my impression. it appeared to me (at first sight) that the sunlit column was actually not sunlight but a different color entirely. as if this old wall crumbled in that spot and was recently repaired. the sunlight makes the column look clean and new. very nice!!
Hi Bobby, The lighting is perfect, as is the exposure. Not too dark in the shadows, while retaining the contrasts and details in both sunlit parts as wel as shadowy areas. Very good shot, the vertical strip of light just off center and the perspective create a very appealing and beautiful shot.
