It's guys like you who make the usefilm experience disgusting. There is absolutely no point in taking this picture. I can do macro shots too, and for more interesting subjects.

Hi Zsolt, apart from level tweaking, no Post processing was involved. The sharpness was created intentionally, and completely "natural", meaning, no photoshop softening nor blur used....
Thanks!
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Hugo!
Interesting.
I think you played a bit with a post pocessing SW. There is no transition between the sharp and the fuzzy regions, like at a simple Macro shot.
Great effects! I like it! Congrats good work! Cheers

Hi Douglas, Not to worry, I'm in no way offended. Have no reason to, only a shitload of work, so I'm really busy for the time being, with not enough time to commeent nor reply... Hence the silence from my side, nothing else to it.
PS: Offended, Me? No.. Far from it! I'm as cheerful as ever....
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Douglas, Thanks for your comment. Very insightful...;) I'll go back to decent photography soon. I played around with my C5050z toy camera in the plane, killing some time.... (and wasting yours with this post...;o)

Hi Stefan, Thanks for the comment. The DOF was in camara, no editing involved.

Very nice macro Hugo. I can see very clear the diference between the f2.8 and f27 with you photo. I like how just a small strip in the midle is focus while the rest is not. Excellent job. Good color, exposure and you domain of the DOF is wonderful.
Congrats,
Raamses.

Mysterious and an invitation for flights of fancy, but perspective? Nicely done, wondering if this is all in-camera DOF or if you have helped it along in editing a little bit?

Very interesting photo! A piece of paper I'm sure I'll never own. Iran would be a very interesting place to visit. I'm glad you were able to go and then share your photos with us! Carolyn

hey hugo, very nice and unique keepsake you got there. the dof here is fine. a couple of folks mentioned it is a bit hard, and it is. but i think it needs to be. a large part of your intended audience probably cannot read this. making it clearer would make the photo much more uninteresting, i think. it would just be a piece of paper. the dof casts a veil over the already mysterious subject. very nicely done. excellent photo! what saddens (sp?) me here is the lack of your signature coloration! you need to develop a PS "hugo" filter ;^)
take care, tom

This could serve as an illustration for some editorial purpose. Maybe as a lead-in to a picture story of Iran?

Hi Hugo,
it looks like you crashed a glass of water and it is now running and in a few seconds you cannot use it anymore ;)
Unfortunately the only languages I know and speak are german and luckily english, future wish would be italian ;), so I cannot help you in translation.
For me the sharp part could be a little bit bigger, but as alway that is a very personal view!
Cheers, Verena

a great idea Hugo.. but IMHO.. the DOF in this shot he is too much strong. perhaps it is more right to say that it is too much marked! the difference of "out of focus/focusing" is violent, even if the photo perfectly is balanced in the spaces! sin that has been commented therefore little!
congrats roby

I cannot understand Persian but i can read a clear word, says "Bam" I think the place or the purpose of your entry,(and may be farther down says: if you don not take a nice shot of places in Iran then you are band to enter again)..LOL.Saeed

Interesting DOF 'game' Hugo. And this is surely a very uncommon subject. Who can have a paper like this? I know you goes at these countries. Are you going for business (are you a doctor or something like that?) This will gives you great photos. I seen some photos at a magazine from some superb buildings of Iran! Realy amazing me. Hope to see more from you! Bye!

What do I think of it? ... okay since you asked:
1. ABSOLUTE minimal depth of field for sure! 2. Looks like someone spilled their 'Middle Eastern Oil Espresso' on a place mat at a restaurant which I would like to place an order for a 'set of six' for my own dining room table ... just kidding!
Breaktime now ... aren't we having fun?
Let's continue:
3. I have no idea about the 'Consular' markings but I think it says: "You are more than welcome back if you shoot Medium Format with a Yashica next time!" ... which is what I also expected you would share with all of us now that you are in USEFILM's Hall of Fame!
Just having fun my friend while teasing you a bit 'On' & 'Off-Line'!
Cheers ...
