dear libor,
i am a little taken aback by your rough comment. i didn't feel any expression of pathos when i took this picture, neither did i mean to. and then, if there were any pathetic element here, don't you think that the monstruous events and the thousands of people affected generated any right for an adequate part of pathos?

Hi dear Charlie!
... this is also (good) photography to me... Is this an explendid photo in lighting, composition, etc???... Maybe yes, maybe no... It is good to me!... But is photography only about technique? Damn no! Art, in it's best (at least to me), is a compilation/expression of emotions, a statment of a sight! Following this point of view, this is a masterpiece, isn't it? It is, to me... Hope, freedom, pain, life, death... all together in a single shot... This IS Art...

As soon as I heard, my thoughts went to my Madrilain students and their families, to you and to all the people in Madrid. I hoped so much that you would be ok. I went and check your portfolio to see if I would see new post or anyway anything at all that would reassure me you were ok. I'm very glad to see your submissions again.
This is a photo that makes me pretty emotional but....
