Michael: Since this was shot as a large-fine JPEG I set the camera WB to auto and corrected the color balance in Photoshop using curves on the animal's white rump. I didn't use a polarizer but I probably should have as the angle of the sun looks close to perfect for it. Oh well! As you can see, I didn't need the teleconverter either but it was on the lens and I didn't think fast enough to take it off. I did, however, have the tripod but didn't need it so much.
