jim, this is excellent!! i love the way the rays of light follow the contour of the hills in the back. you can even see the greenish tinge of the mustard grass under this wonderful "golden" light. ah, you make me miss SF. beautiful shot, well done!!

First let me thank you for your comments on my "Mallard" shot. I did crop it and a little bit of sharpening but otherwise nothing else. As for your shot I love these type of landscape shots. Now I really know why it is called the Golden State. The picture and the mood of it is wonderful. I will try to keep my eye out for more of your shots.

il like the picture, especially the hills in the foreground "shaped" by the light and the shape of the hills in the background... seems like two different kind of lights in the same picture. what bothers me is the lens flare (i think) in the left part of the picture.
