It's a fair question, Roger, and one that I have no qualms in answering. Where possible I like to present photo's more or less as they come out of the camera, (with a little help from PS in sorting out levels and saturation), but there are also occasions when I see potential in an image that can only be fulfilled by pairing it with another image. Such is the case here. I had a reasonable silhouette of the cathedral, but a completely nondescript sky behind it, so I decided to pair it with a more dramatic one. It then, in my opinion, becomes a work of 'photoart' ~ that is, art produced with the help of photo's. From people's comments, it appears that some have assumed this was a straightforward photo but, (whether they have or not), that they have all enjoyed the end result. If I alter a photo significantly, I will always tick the 'photoart' option in an attempt to make it clear that the image is some kind of composite. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for asking. Kind regards, Chris.

Photo art? What does that mean in this case, Chris? This is not an attempt to put you on the spot or score points, just a simple question.

A really stunning shot Chris! Incredible atmosphere and drama in this sunset, I've never seen anything quite like it, ie the foreground steeples in silhouette are great, and it's going into my favorites! Cheers. Craig
