I agree with everybody else, this is an outstanding composition, and an unusual angle. You have a beautiful portfolio!

Yes, I think too that this one has more visual impact than the other. The later is either more descriptive or funny, depending on how you look at it. This one though is colour and mass impact.
I did not do so much work on it. I did adjust levels just a tad, and pushed a little the saturation, but not much. I did brush to lighten by 15 % the middle tones the pale lines each side of the "nose".

This one has real impact. The color on this is just outstanding & great detail in the metal if the boat & in the ice as well. Actually a powerful image/

Looks like the big nose of the monster. Excellent color and detail. Very rich. Don.

this tight crop of the ships bow works a lot better than the wider one you uploaded later. I think you may have worked the saturation and contrast a lot here - the end effect is fantastic.

Is this what they call an ice breaker? I just love the whole of it, composition, colours en the broken ice.

Dear Christian, this is an outstanding composition. It looks very abstract but this heavy, rusty iron nose and this soft ice looks fantastic.

Congratulation it's fabulous.

Regards, Gerry
