I'm suprised over and over how so many common things, that we (almost) see evry day are really good photograph subjects. This is a lovely image. One small comment is that the pointed edge at the bottom edge of the photo seems to create a bit of tension. Did you have any image below that which was cropped off, if not maybe a little higher crop on the bottom. I think the crop on the top is fine. Just a thought. I appreciate all your comments.

Good call, beautiful image. I haven't seen the original, but I love the composition/balance of this one. Lots of straight lines and one beautiful swirl that pulls your attention.
