Wow, Marion, what beautiful texture and detail you captured in the flower petals - they look as though they are shimmering! The slight out of focus petal in the center has been mentioned, but I love the richness of the colors here makes this photo stand out!

I really love the texture of dead flowers - always has been a weakness of mine...the tones here are wonderful...
I am not sure about the blur on the foremost petal - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and here, I am not sure that it works...

The Dutch Tulip Craze... with a new lens... Suggest the specimin looks wonderfull and could be added to a Vermeer, while the lens should be kept... as the results are wonderful!
