About I wanted the narrow path to the shrine, but this meant getting the torii itself at a slight angle. The fierce perspective of the 15mm lens (quite difficult to master) nakes it look less "square" than it really was. Nice image quality, though.

Love the bright color of the Torri, it's a perfect focal point and the composition is just right even if the torri look less square then the picture. I still love this image. Good job!
Keep up the good work
Kevin

Very good handling of the 15 mm Roger, could not be detected from the fence on the left or either right side. Great colors, too. Reards, Rob.

Another very good w/a shot. I agree with Richard, a figure down the bottom in the shrine would be fantastic. There's no dooubting that the reds really steal the show here though.

Wonderful image Roger!!! The distorted perspective doesn't bother me at all in this case. If you wanted to, you could actually straighten it out in PhotoShop, you know. I have done it successfully with some of my photos before. You should give it a try if you haven't done so already.

Hello, Roger! I live at Mie-ken, a little bit far from you... ;oP
This "shogatsu" I went to Tokyo, and took lots of pictures at Ueno zoo... When you have some free time try to go there, it's awesome!

I love the red colors of Japan, and I can see you do it, too! Perfect, congrats! ;o)

I like the contrasting colors. Possibly a figure along the path would add even more interest. You got the verticals aligned in spite of the ultra wide angle and having to look through a separate finder.
