We seem to be similar ages... nice to meet you! Thanks for looking at my photos of Windsor village. It IS a nice old village, but the presence of the Queen's castle means that thousands of tourists visit it. Last year I and my three sons visited it!
Unlike you, I have owned many, many cameras over the years, but I usually trade the old one in when I buy the a one. I prefer film to digital, and wide-angle lenses to telephoto.

Thank you for your comment on my "Violet on violet". Unlike you, I kept trading my used (I don't want to use the word "old" because most of my used gear was practically new) cameras etc. for the latset ones. Now I have a Fuji Finepix S7000 & being 74 next week, I think it will be my last aparatus. Thanks for showing your self-portrait. If you want to see mine, you will have to go to www.drspringmann.com & there, among other thing, is my photo of about 10 years ago. Regards, Rafi Springmann
