"Here's a version with the mess in the upper right mentioned by Dave cleaned up, and John's suggestions for removal of some branches carried out- I think it's a much improved shot."
Where? I'd love to see it.

Excellent naturality and great lighting in this shot. It seems you can touch those branches. You've been right in the 50mm choice. Congrats! Best regards, Paolo

Geez Dave, you don't miss a trick. I cloned out a distracting branch in the foreground there and didn't do a very good job. Haven't made a print yet or I would have noticed the sloppiness. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. David

David, the thumbnail does not do this justice. Wonderful light and clarity. The only thing amiss, from what I can see, are some weird jaggies toward the back of the frame on the right, near the two rocks. Was this due to some post-processing blur effect that you might have used? If so, looks like you missed some spots. Nonetheless, well done.

Lovely image David. I love the lines, light, tones & composition. My only suggestions for improvement is to eliminate the branch that drops out the bottom of the frame and the smaller vertical branch just about it and to the left (IMHO). Have you done a large print of this yet. Regards John
