John, thank you! you are absolutelly right, that whitish frame is part of "orinal" which was resized to aproximatelly 15% of it's size. I'll pay more attention to these "small" details next time, thanks for advise.

Well, I missed this little gem. Nice one. Ditto to the comments above.
I love the surface texture of the egg (as revealed by your lighting). I wonder if you resized this photograph as the inner white line has come out blurry. That's unfortunate as it is such a strong and effective element of this picture, the picture could only be improved if it were tack sharp.

Very interesting. I saw your tulip photo, so had to check out your other work as well. I think this is my view of a black light example. I'll have to check out that link, too. Very impressive start here at usefilm! One qustion, what type of film did you use for this?

Marc, thanks! I tried to make the shadow a little bit more defined by moving the light away from the egg, but than the color of reflected light shifted to not really pleasant greish blue. So I decided to stick with bright color and not so good shadow :)

Good lighting, smashing colors, and good composition = good job. Yet, one thing looks a bit odd, and that would be the shape of the shadow... No major problem, but more "egg-like" was imo better. Regards.

ok, I will rephrase that
"I was unaware a light could make an egg look so good" ;)

Dawna, thanks! That's not the egg, it's the light :)

A link to Maggie... and if you're wondering on how to find members, go to Member Utilities, find members and type in the person's name.. either first, last or all.

Nice monochrome image... the blue works really well here. Have you checked out Maggie Bredzen's black light work? They are a great light source... nice job!
