About The ceilings of this temple, which claims to have a relic of the Buddha himself, are said to be very beautiful. They make a point of saying believers from all the Buddhist sects are equally welcome.

excellent architecture... like the tone of the photo. No, I did not use a tripod for the "stairway to History" pic (too much of a hassle bringing it in with the current security procedures.. and my lens does not have the stabilization capabilities. Just had to hold the cam very steady :) thanks for the comments

Great capture,Roger...I would like to tell you something about your comment on my photo Villa L'Ombrellino. The photo was originally in colors, then desaturated and turned to sepia in PS ( hate to say it,but I must comply to the trend ).
The lens,an old and excellent one,is ultra sharp as it can be seen from the print, but the home scanning certainly does not help and the filters applied in PS destroy the sharpness almost completely. So,it goes without saying that you have to use the unsharp mask.
How you see it ( for example glowing ) depends on your own monitor and calibration of the same. In my LCD it doesn't look sharp at all. This is a problem which is plaguing me.
Here they suggest to buy the software Spyder in order to calibrate your monitor every two weeks...I wonder how well it works and if it's worth the money. In Italy it's not yet available. Thank you for your fine and always very appropriate comments, greetings, Antonella

Japan.. one place Ive been longing to visit. Ive been to the Tokyo airport, only on the way to Korea. Thanks for the great pictures of Japan. I really enjoy the architecture, landscape and scenery. This shot is wonderful, nice detail in the building, some shadow plus a tree to add some depth to it.

I have a cousin that is half Japanese, but he doesnt really look Japanese or Indian, he has a closer resemblance of a middle easterner. If you have any suggestions on places to visit in Japan, please drop me a note. Im especially interested in temples, samurai monuments, landscaping among other things. Judging by your pictures you definitely know some beautiful places to visit.

Regards, Roger

Roger,

a unifying position - it is good...I couldn't help being recalled of America's capitol (and various state capitols) when looking at the thumbnail and being not clear on the four corner domes...

Great shot! Amazing sharpness and splendid composition. I can't believe you took this picture back in 1967! It looks like an actual shot because of its quality.

Delightful image! Black and white tones give interest and appeal. Very well done. Razor sharpness. Congratulations!
