About She isn't looking at the camera, or is she? I'm still in a wintry mood and while she is lightly dressed for being outside in December, the light and our environment is a bit dreary, hence the color manipulation. Comments welcome as always.

See, Stefan. This is why I need to go digital. That immediacy. That detail. That intensity. And what a lovely recurring subject to view in your inspiring portfolio. You have captured some wonderful moments with your daughter. Cheers, Leora.

I thought I had commented on this... maybe it got eaten with the upgrade (or maybe my mind is confuzzled)
LOVE THIS! What a great portrait! Her eyes are so mesmerizing.. they truly capture my attention right away. The colours are all complimentary and it's a great location, but none of that really matters because I can't look away from those eyes!

Stefan, this is a wonderful capture of your little girl, I agree her direct gaze makes the shot.
Colours look great, I don't know what 'midtones compressed' means.
My 2 leave the house on freezing days dressed like this...a few sizes larger.:)

Stefan,

Nope she most certainly isn't looking at the camera - she is looking at you (the viewer). There is much to like in this photo. The DOF is perfect - just enough to get all the detail we could want in her eyes (which are gorgeous), her hair, and the rope of the swing.

It is, however, the gaze which makes this a particularly intense image.

Mary
