About This scene seems so distant now. The entire block is gone with something \"new\" in it\'s place. Photo taken in 1985 in Thomson, Ga. USA , not too far from Augusta, Ga.
I printed this photo negative (Ilford xp film) on to Ilford type paper. Original size is 8x10.

I must really be getting old. Someone called this 1985 photo "vintage." Having grown(?)up in northeast Louisiana, I can relate very well to this photo. Thanks for the memories. I love your portfolio, especially the ones of such mundane items as rusting vehicles, old shoes, etc. You have given me renewed inspiration to look at everything as a photo opportunity.
Bets wishes, ...Jimmy
P.S. I loved your comment to Bradley about staying with film photography. I remember when it wasn't necessary to preface the word film.

Charles, very well done. Reminds me of the work of Walker Evans. There is something so interesting about photos that show how people live without people actually in the photo. Thanks for your comments. Paul

I wonder if there isn't an excessive loss in the shadows. Interesting anyway.
