Sika deer during rutting season at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Most people go there in November for the migrating birds, but we really enjoyed the buggling of the sika deer.. and the lack of misquitoes and crowds.
CJ, beautiful capture... they seem to be posing for you! A great shot, in such low light, to have them standing so still. I guess that's the beauty of digital... you can change the ISO whenever you want. I like the framing that you have now, but also think the reflected glare of the sun is too birght.... have you tried playing with it in PS to tone it down? Either way, this is still a wonderful shot.
another beauty CJ! wow, this is just to peaceful looking, incredible capture at sunset. I love the sunset light and silhouette effect of the dear, I find myself wondering though what this would look like if the right area was cropped - just a little to take out the glow of the sun, but still leaving the sunset hue behind. Maybe its just me but my little eye is wondering what to look at primarily, the sunset or the dear...just a thought, still a good image. always enjoy your postings!
