I tried to shoot some of these this fall as well but I did not succeed as well as you did. The kids call them "monkey brains" around here. They fall down and it looks like there are a bunch of large tennis balls on the street.

Great capture! We call this an Osage Orange. The fruit is also called a hedge apple. They are good for repelling insects. Good work!

I know this fruit, too, without knowing its name. My boss used to call it "alien brain". It smells quite nice. I found a couple of them which on my desk until they dehydrated and wasted away. Nice pic and iked the 'damage' part too. Cheers, Hanna
