Shot in JPG, handheld, converted to b/w in PS7. My wife and I had two of our teenage nephews over the weekend a couple of months ago. They're taking a photo course at their high school, so we had a great time shooting for two days. This and the next two are ones that they liked alot. Taken at the insect hall at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum. Great kids!
Ron, an awesome image indeed. I love how the viewer is challenged to discern the kids in that wonderful sea of tones created by the butterflies. It has a wonderfully dreamy atmosphere. A very complex but very pleasing image. Nice one.
Ron, I looked at this shot for about 20 seconds before I saw the one boy's faces, then I finally saw the second one. I love the way they blend in with the butterflies. My only suggestion would be to see what would happen if you left one or 2 butterflies in color and layer them in ,using the computer. Just a thought. Dave
