Ok nevermind. I guess this wont work for some reason. Anyway, what I teid to do was to darken the shadows by going to selected colors and adjsuting the blacks slider in black to +20. Then I simply increased the contrast and decreased the brightness a bit to bring out the texture more and increase the saturation in the colors a little.

I love this picture. It's a great view of the street. The only thing I would say is that it seems a little bit washed out and the colors aren't too saturated. I adjusted this in photoshop. I hope the image I attached helps.

Ellen,
I don?t think this image works very well in color; there is some wonderful texture in the walls and the street that is being missed in the color version.
The composition is good with a nice view down the street but again I just don?t think it works in color.
I am attaching a version of the shot that I converted to B&W in PS, I adjusted the levels and curves to help bring out the textures.
