I'll disagree and sy that i like this composition....The girl and the dog being down close together seems more spontanious....and carefree. Excellent image.

I think this is a clean B&W shot. Very solid. Great texture and clarity. OK, maybe an odd suggestion, but somehow I think that cropping the dark top off to just above the girl's leg might help add some oomph and emphasize the her lazy-day relaxed pose with the dog. Just a thought. Good job.

peggy lovely clear picture, maybe sitting the girl up and the dog lying on her lap would improve it. maybe you need to read something on posing that may help. good luck with the next one raymondj.
