I like the image, but I would crop out some of the sky, just alittle more.

Good title! Great balls of color! I think it would be better if you had used f19 or 22 and set the lens on infinity. The trees are not quite sharp. I know how difficult it is to focus in low light. When you set your focus for hyper focal in daylight, try to remember where it is on the lens. Mark it in your mind. Use a flashlight to find it in low light like this. Very good sky. Have not seen the other one yet.

Thanks for your comments Steve and Vince... and to answer you Vince... the reason I used the 80-200 mm here is that I'm on a hill surrounded by city, so I need to zoom in to exclude the cityscape and get all mountains. (and the city stuff surrounding this area isn't even photogenic, so I can't include it.) But thanks for the suggestion!

I like the colors of the sky better in this image, but the composition with that big setting sun in yesterdays a lot more. It was a more dramatic sunset in my opinion. This is still a nice one though. Kim, have you considered using a wider lens for sunsets. Almost all of mine have been with the really wide angle lenses. The 80-200 limits the scene a bit too much from my own experiences.

I like this one better Kim. I like being able to see the trees in the foreground. It gives me a better sense of where the photo was taken.
