Darjeeling steam "TOY TRAIN". It is a world herritage transport. More than 100 years old transport and still maintained in steam for tourism. Called Darjeeling Hymalian rail, is a great way to travel in leisure to Darjeeling. It takes 8 hours from the foot hill. Runs along the normal road cris-crossing all the time. As a result - its the only train in the world to get struck in traffic!!!. Unfortunately the views are the same as the views if you take the bus or car. In that respect NILGIRIS train far better as it runs in its own track in the wild jungle. If you have some time please take a look at my Nilgiris train images as well.
Great little train, Ken, just a shame the top right corner is somewhat burnt out. There's one or two steam railways with 20-30 miles of us ~ could be worth a look! Kind regards, Chris.
