This used to be the Buckroe Fishing Pier before Isabel Struck. All the old wooden piers are gone, and word has come down that they won't be rebuilt. This is very sorrowful for all of us that pier fish.
The water in the lower portion is really gorgeous. Congrats. PS I have a low opinion on pier fishing and will refrain from expressing it. But I can tell you a joke: this fellow comes to me and say: Do you see all those men at the pier end, with fishing poles? Yes, so what? Stupidest sport I ever saw. I have been there for a whole 4 hours, just watching them, and they caught nothing!
