The B&W works better for me although the color image is very good in its own right. In the B&W version, I see more forms and greater depth which add to the image a lot. In a way, the vendor's reluctance was quite serendipitous. As a result, you have a very nice arching frame that contains the main subjects, the bicycle and the cart. Very nice.

i'm actually not sure which one i like more, they are both great in their own rights. i wish it were a little sharper, but i assume that was the scan. that's too bad about the guy...but still a good scene

The owner of the cart clearly did not want his picture taken, unfortunately, so I went back through the arch to where I could get a picture without him in it (he was to the right of the cart.) The only way to get the bike and cart was to include the arch or the owner. I'm attaching the original which has been processed some to reduce the brightness of the partial arch that forms the right side of the shot.

this is very good...looks like a painting. i would like to see the original color version. did you get any photos of the bike and cart without the arch in the scene? the tones are wonderful, btw.
