Beulie House -A relic from the past - a british imperilistic icon, still remaining in Drogheda. English local landlords house in the heart of Ireland. Poor Irish- had to put up with english rule for many generations. The English care taker there, tried his best to conceal his pride of the house history. He is aware of the injustice done to Irish people and was kind of afraid given the present situation of Irish independent rule. He tried his best to potray the family, who owns this house as people who fought for Irish people during Cromwells onslaught on irish catholics. The reality was the family was fighting on the loosing side of King Charles. Nothing to do with protecting Irish from the English. But I could see through his thin disguise. He doesn't give a damn about Irish. He was just proud of being English inspite of being in Ireland. About the house itself, what ever its - its owned by a 90 years old lady. It never changed its hands all these years. Since its construction it remained and still remains in the same family. Thats interesting. How often it happens - when you are talking about more than 400 years!!!!!
