Some things are just alive and we do not know how to explain or make sure....we just know, and we click the shutter and are happy.

What a beauty, John! I'm not one to worry what a photo's about, I just love being seduced by good tones and a sense that the world is making or unmaking itself.
In that, you've certainly succeeded!

Great portfolio. This picture: nice perspective, dramatic atmosphere, good decision with the grainy style, good expression for the water... Very well done. Thank you for your comment.

I like your text. Your image makes me think of how good it is to see live water in a photo ( and the river is alive here) So bored of images with streaming water at slow shutter speed that looks (at its best) like alien slime. Your image is full of poetry I love it

yours and Mary's comment and the photo are together like five minutes of John Coltrane if you know what I mean, there is swing, and we see more than before and feel it ...

John,
Thank you - this I understand: "what was love making about the last time you made love? - i see it as similar to the question what is this image about or what is the subject - mostly i see that that way - we want to touch again and again - one person - each time different - both familiar and new - so the experience is much of what it is about - the relationship is what it is about -" this is why...
Thank you for clarifying it so beautifully.
Your image moves - it is life giving and it has a soul...
Mary
