mi piace questa atmosfera nebbiosa in un sentiero autunnale. solitamente sono abituato a vedere l'autunno con colori vivi e luminosi ma anche cosģ fa il suo effetto!!!

Great job of coaxing an excellent photo out of a simple subject. This could have been flat and boring, but the combination of painterly lighting and the depth provided by the definition of the path deep into the foggy background makes it work- nice eye and capture.

Very artistic image Alan. You really nailed these last two fog in the fall woods shots. I like the composition on both of them and I agree the subdued colors work much better than the saturated ones. Very nice work on these two images.

Great shot Alan. I like both versions equally. They give two totally different moods. Your rendition gives a water color feel to it which I like.

Teunis, thanks for taking the time to edit the image. To answer someone elses question, there are no editing effects on my original.Nothing. It looked that day, exactly as I posted it. It is very dull, subdued colors, with fog. As such I thought it resembled an oil painting. I too adjusted levels and came up with more vivid, saturated versions but I thought they lost the atmosphere. As you can see by Teunis' work on it, its a totally different picture.Like everything else, its a matter of taste. If you are only interested in bright, vivid, saturated images, this one is not your cup of tea.I decided to leave it as it looked that foggy, damp, awful morning. Thanks for your comments.

This is really beautiful. as it is. great contrast. But as it is, I would put some effects, like an expressionist painting. wow.. great work.

Wonderful poetic image; beautifully (and tastefully) presented . . . How much adjustment did you have to do? Whatever it might be, the result is lovely.
By the way (re: your inquiry about my "Diner"), I'm in Charleston, SC. From the wonderful shots in your portfolio, you can't be in the frozen northland. --Or are you?
Best wishes, --George
