I think this is a good idea. It could have been made better to show more of the bike (or whatever he is riding). Maybe also to have him more towards the left edge leading into the frame rather than in the center of it.

Jamie-- what is 2nd curtain...... is that similar to rear curtain? --- also how do you like the 10d? -- my girlfriend had a modeling shoot with a photographer who used the 10d and d60...... after seeing the images...... I want a digital now!!

Very interesting. Reminds me of something from the Matrix. I really like how the green stands out. Maybe I would cut a little off the right to make it just a bit less centered.
Thanks for your comment about my London at night photo. I did sharpen it using a third party tool. I will try some more and repost. The lens is a Nikon 28-105 with Vibration Reduction. After thinking about it, I realized that I took this one by hand and didn't steady it. (That was a later shot.) Thanks again Jamie!

Good efect using slow speed and flash at 2nd curtain. for adding the "speed effect" try using backgrounds with more visual information, lights or objects.
