Very beautiful image!
Dear Charlie, I tried 2x to send you an e-mail in response to your request about the Sri Yantra image, but both times it was returned, so I will reply here.
I don't remember the exact process but here is what I remember.
I scanned a copy of a Sri Yantra from an Indian art book and then rendered it into a black and white drawing. This originally was to be used to trace onto a clay pot I was making.
I then added a gradient color to the Yantra, and then used the illumination tool to add the light in the center. I did more here, but I can't remember what as I was playing around.
Next, I took a picture of the sky and adjusted it for the color I wanted. I layered this with the Yantra.
Then I used that circle tool 2 times, which then becomes an oval rather than a circle.
I did about 50 or so of these Yantras. As I said, I was just playing around so I didn't record the exact sequence. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me at Bhaktilove@aol.com
Be well, and, Aloha. Uldra

Charlie, This is a great abstract image, and such a clever vision! Your portfolio is really interesting for me to look over, as I tend to record things I see in a fairly straightforward way, it's really interesting to see someone working on the artistic side, with such great ideas. The way you can follow the buildings in this image upwards into bands of blurred colours is just amazing. And not a product of PS, what an eye you have! Stunning! Chris

Charlie, your images are very interesting, as well as your philisophical comments. I'll be back to look more closely at them. I wanted to thank you for your comment on my "Cattleya Orchid" and let you know that it was not manipulated at all, though many of my images often are. Rather, it was photographed on a beautiful silk saree. I am wondering if I shouldn't lighten it, however.
I enjoyed reading your bio! I lived in Spain once too, many years ago.
Aloha, Uldra

Having loked at all the versions I would suggest you still need the three elements but about half of the upward curve could be cropped and then in my opinion it would make a great abstract.it becomes too "tight" with just the bottom two elements. Regards Marie

Hi Charlie, yes, I like it better, much better!! The upper part in the first version was too distracting imo because of its size and the grainy effect in it. What I meant was still something different, but I'm glad that I didn't express myself clear enough, because what you made out of it is really best...!!! :) I still attach what I meant, just to show you (though you can really forget it now!!!); but please don't mind: I did it very quickly and it's horribly bad worked out... :( Lieben Gruß :)

Danke! :) Very nice idea!!! Makes my phantasy work... What about enlarging (if possible..., that means if the details of the reflections don't fade), isolating the detail by cropping off the upper part and adding some black space there? Would make a different picture though... Just a thought; hope you don't mind... Schöne Grüße aus Hamburg :) Gabriele
