Is this a sunrise or sunset, it is difficult to tell. Whatever the case, it does not seem important because we can just simply enjoy this picture for the beauty it shows. This composition is fascinating because the viewer is like a participant in the scene. I can almost feel like I am parting away the brushes, stepping into this spot and catching a glimpse of the sunlight on the water. There is a lot of detail in the shadows, and I find the range of colors appealing. One thing that caught my eye is the warmth of the picture. Even in the dark greens of the leaves, there seems to be a touch of golden sunlight on them. One thing I might do is to make this picture sharper. Maybe it is the scan, but it seems like some of the leaves and the branches are not tack sharp. Very well done picture.
