About	Solar Halo from the extreme nothern part of Hurrican Isabel. About 30 minutes before the shot, I have seen GOES 8 satellite images showing clouds from hurricane Isabel was starting to cover Quebec city. Rain (less than 1 inche) from that system will start tomorrow (friday)in Quebec city. This photo show the roof of Chateau Frontenac.

The spires point, not to heaven, but to a portent of the approaching storm. An interesting symbolism and a fabulous use of silhouettes. --Jim

Beautiful and dramatic sky Gaetan, but I think the silhouetted foreground really makes this picture-- I love it, and it's going in my favorites. The sharpness of the spires atop the buildings is excellent, and the diagonal from upper left to lower right is highly dynamic. Really nice shot. Cheers. Craig

So interesting explanation, and very beautiful shot! Without your info I would have thought it's just a normal rainbow. Although normal rainbows are so fascinating and beautiful too! Anyway, whatever it is, it's wonderful!
