Now I understand why you mentioned the softness of my picture. You have one here with a very sharp foreground against a very soft, delicate backgroung. Powerful combination and yet so restful...

I spotted a Torii and it led me to your gallery--where I find you are a resident of Japan as I am. I really love this photograph. The sharply focused, vivid flowers in the foreground add almost stereoscopic depth to the scene when viewed againts the subtle colours of the other shore of the lake, half hidden in mist. Either alone would not have made a photograph, but together they make a very fine one. By the way, most organists in Japan have to have a good relationship with a church or churches--where most of the organs are to be found. I'm an Anglican here in Tokyo... you can reach me as roger atmark despammed.com if you'd like to get in touch.

Craig,
I really like the contrast between the very sharp flowers to the more soft backdrop of the lake, house, etc. Very interesting shot. Good work.

Maybe my lense is slightly bigger, but your pictures are beautiful!!
You are an organist/harpsichordist, in Japan? What/where do you play? I am not a musician, but I used to play the organ at my former church, and I loved it! Yesterday I got to play just a little bit, and I was so happy.
Take care,
Ursula
