Hi, I'm learning B&W photography. This is just a shot of water under a wooden pier.
As the sun was pretty strong, I set exp. compensation to -.5. Next time I will try Tri-X 400 instead of TMAX 400 (supposedly tri-x has better tonal range) and use a Red filter. :)
It's a great try. I too am just getting into filters and BW film. This is a great shot. I'm not sure the red filter wouldn't blacken the wood too much. I find an 81C gives me just the right amount of darkening, but again, I"m still learning too.
