You are right Jan, the view probably hasn't changed much in 60 years. Especially the b&w makes it look rather timeless.

It's certainly unusual to see this sort of scene rendered in B&W, Jaap. I like it! Wayne says that it doesn't look level, yet all the masts go straight up! I think it's probably due to the perspective brough about by the angle you took it from. Good work. Regards, Chris.

This picture does have a nice classic throwback look to it - nice job! Doesn't look level - did you not bring your floating tripod with you? ;) Maybe it's just my monitor but the bottoms of the boats appear a bit too dark. It would be nice to see where the boat bottoms meet the water; a little more detail in that area is what I'm trying to say. Still, impressive photo.
