About Another one of my daughter.
I'm planning to give my dad a framed copy of this for his birthday, so any opinions would be most useful.

Thanks for the welcome and the comment on my photo Sarah, appreciate it! I think you've chosen a wonderful image to give to your father, the way that you've chosen to frame your lovely daughter, is to me anyway, so much better than a conventional portrait. With your daughter and her outfit being the only objects in color, the eyes naturally go right to her. I do believe your father will enjoy this, not only because of his granddaughter, but it will probably also stir images in his mind of you while you were growing up!

Sarah, Beautiful shot of your daughter. I agree with the cropping idea for your photo because the lighting and the colouring look great.
P.S. thanks for your comment regauring the fill flash for the photo I posted. And I love the Canon Elan 7.

Lovely day, lovely Girl, lovely arts and most of all a lovely present. I don?t think I would be able to fine a better birthday present. It is the combination of you two most loved and most beautiful creations. The blood stream is always from the roots (Father), through the tree ( the Artist, that is you)and finally to the Flowers ( Your daughter). by giving you dad this pic, you are completing the blood stream circulation. I would be most happy to have a pic of my Granddaughter, if I ever have one. I this your dad will always look at the Pic if he needs a smile on his face.

Sarah, another very cute picture of your daughter. If I were a grandparent, the only thing that I would want in my photo would be this little darling. Leave the props and the others for fun. I would think grandparents would only want the grandchild, just my thought. By the way I like the photo as is.

Thanks for the comment Mary.
I think you are right about the crop. I already have a 6x4 frame, so I think I will get a larger re-print (maybe 7x5, or 8x6) and crop it down to fit the frame.
Thanks for the idea.

Sarah

Any grandparent would love a photo this sweet! You asked for opinions, so the only comment I can think of is to crop a bit so that your daughter is more prominent in the image. Nevertheless, your dad will love it as is.
