Wow... i just took my first look at this on my normal computer and it is darker than i thought... i posted it from a different computer and that one wasn't as dark as mine... she looks rather scary with her dark eyes... THANKS Patricia for the mini tutorial.. i'm gonna try it at home!!!!!!!

A very sweet photo with a lot of humor accentuated by the stark background.
I agree that the eyes are a little dark. I played with the image a little bit in PS. Dodged highlights and midtones first with a soft brush about the size of the entire eye region on each eye about 8%. Then dodged highlights a bit more with smaller soft brush about the size of iris. Also dodged the entire face 4-5% with a large soft brush. Burned midtones about 6% using soft brush on dress to perk up the pattern a little. The more difficult thing to correct is the somewhat soft focus of the image -- this could be a downloading problem. I used a sharpen filter but solution would depend on whether this is really in the orignal. Of course the amount of dodging and burning will depend a little on the effect you want. I hope this helps.

Cute as can be! Great composition and expression. Maybe lighten the face/eyes a little to put some emphasis on her face rather than the arm. A really uplifting photo!

1 layer the bright. other layer erase the baby with pencil tools.
